Creating connection, community & joy through music and movement
The Singing Striders is an all ability choir for people who love to run and/or sing (although not at the same time!).
We specialise in performing at races with recent performances including the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Great Manchester Run.
Our aim is to bring joy to running events, help motivate athletes of all abilities – including those raising money for charity and just have fun singing together.
Our set list includes covers (with special ‘running themed’ lyrics!) from Taylor Swift, Tears for Fears and Status Quo.
Along with popular race tunes including 500 miles (The Proclaimers), Don’t Stop Me Now (Queen )and Keep on Running (The Spencer Davis Group).
If we’re performing in your town/city, we’ll do our best to include a song or two from a band/artist from your area.
We believe everyone can - and should - sing if they enjoy it...
if you don't read music or have previous choir experience (if you like singing in the shower - that’s good enough for us!)
without committing to every performance or rehearsal ( you’ll get a set list, lyrics and audio recording to help you prepare)
if you're not a runner. If you like singing and are happy to perform in trainers, you are VERY welcome to join us (we won’t make you run a step - promise!)

Why The Singing Striders?
I created The Singing Striders because I know how much music can motivate runners. I’ve run four marathons myself – and dozens of 10k, 10-mile and half marathon races – and raised thousands of pounds for charities in the process.
So I know how much music can ‘lift’ you in a race – particular in the tough moments, when you really have to dig deep.
